Have a big party but dont invite the birthday person.
Send that person a pizza a few movies and a 6 pack.
If he doesnt want a party why make him uncomfertable at a party he didnt want.
its his birthday respect him on it.
You might get him what every man wants on his birthday.
a night with a really great hooker

My dad hates parties; my mom loves them. So, my mom plans them and then tells him if you don’t attend, we are going to attach a blown up picture of your face to a chair and carry on without you. He didn’t attend one year, and she followed through with her plan. (taking pictures of the chair with his face, etc.) After he saw and heard about the party, I think he felt left out. He now attends the parties my mom throws every few years for him (that is part of the compromise). The other part of the compromise is a limit on guests.
