I took my SATs 3 times. I think that you could get into a 'nice' school depending on your definition, but it will be more difficult. My SATs were not stellar (most of the people at my school had higher scores), but I had a lot of things that made me stand out such as government internships and the girl scout gold award (highest in girl scouting). What you need are good essays and something to make you stand out from the crowd. Good luck. Take your SAT’s again and use one of the SAT prep books. I took my SATs 3 times.
