How do I get my baby to stop yanking and pulling my nipple?
My daughter is 6 months aged as well as I’m still breastfeeding. She positively refuses the bottle. Now she pulls as well as yanks my pap when she eats, she’s usually been you do this for the final week as well as it hurts! we do not know how to have her stop. Also, we need to get her proposed upon the bottle, I’m starting behind to propagandize in the couple of weeks… we do not know how to get her to take one, assistance please!
Sorry for the ridiculous answer you got before, I wish I could give some advice on how to get her to stop pulling and yanking, my son is 5 months and he has been pulling off really hard, and it really hurts, and he has been doing this for quite a while, then wanting to get right back on and eat…. this has probably been going on for over a month now, and sometimes it feels worse than the first week of breastfeeding!!! Well ok I don’t know if it is worse because for me that was hell….. but here’s what I have been doing:
telling him no sternly and touching his bottom lip, which calms him a bit and the most he does is give me a pouty bottom lip… which is just to adorable to keep looking at him sternly, and once I put him back on, if he does it again I repeat the same and if it happens a third time, we take a 5 min break. so maybe you could try that.
As far as getting her to take a bottle…. my son refuses a bottle… on a rare occasion if I have to be away from him say at the doctor or the store, my mom tries to give him a baba of expressed milk and he refuses. Most people suggest trying to let someone besides yourself offer the bottle, for me that worked for a bit, but now that I’m back in school (taking online classes) my mom tries to help out and give him a bottle, but if i’m in the house I swear he must have super sonic smelling abilities because he throws a fit! All I can say is its probably going to be a slow process that will require time a patience… I know being a mom plus student at the same time is hard when working with bottles…just keep trying
I hope something I have mentioned will help you… good luck
p.s This happens a lot when he gets startled or hears a new noise in the room such as our dog coming in or his daddy…. so we try and sit in a quiet room alone for the most part… but he still does it sometimes no matter what.
